Kahwa Sha‘bi

A people’s café rooted in Arab hospitality, memory, and resistance.

Kahwa Sha‘bi will be a community café and cultural gathering space where conversation, creativity, and care flow freely. Inspired by the role of coffee in SWANA culture—as a symbol of welcome, reflection, and connection—our café will offer rotating seasonal drinks, homemade syrups, and menus inspired by Arab regions and stories.

More than a place to sip coffee, it will be a space to meet, organize, heal, and build.

Kahwa Sha‘bi is coming soon to Dearborn—made for the people, by the people.

Feminist Workshop Series

Building power through gender justice, community education, and abolitionist care.

We’re launching a feminist workshop and teach-in series that centers women, femmes, and non-binary people in our community. Grounded in decolonial and abolitionist frameworks, these sessions will explore topics such as:

  • Gender-based violence

  • Consent and accountability

  • Mutual aid and community safety

  • Political education rooted in SWANA feminist thought

These workshops will create space for dialogue, healing, and movement-building—toward a future where care and justice go hand in hand.
